Flora our cuddly Himalayan succumbed to illness today. Over the last few days she developed an unexplained paralysis that finally completely immobilized her. She was the smartest piggie I ever knew, and the snuggliest. She loved food and cuddling, and would grunt her contentment whenever I would hold her close against my chest. She was the runt of her litter, but grew into a chubby spoiled brat who ruled over her penmates and won the hearts of people around the world. I miss her more than I can say but I also know she is at peace now and free of pain. May her spirit soar. M.
